Popular group with a sound similar to ESG or Konk. A mix of strange dubby disco with punk, jazz & pop influences. Check "Knife slits water" that I think was on a Soul Jazz comp. More good tracks though, such as the latin-tinged "Skipscada" or the ruff "Crystal". You can really hear how this sound has influenced that whole wave of punk-funk. Small cover tear.
"Gnanfou" midtempo (nu) disco with subtle hooks that's just great modern music in a strong tradition of disco and house. Tougher Swag remix on flip is good, but the big one for me is the downtempo hypnotic disco trip "Here today". Stone cold winner of an EP, get it while you can.
"I want to thank you" fantastic soulful midtempo disco winner. Small cut.
Superb Japanese boogie album in the catchy, sunny feel good track "Surprise of summer" and maybe the even better "Bring me to the dance night".
